For more than 30 years the Spring Green Expo has been Australia’s premier trade event, hosted by the Nursery & Garden Industry, Queensland. The breadth of exhibitors is extraordinary, which reflects the type of visitors and business the Expo attracts. Apart from the vast array of greenlife suppliers, companies from the landscape, council, allied products, media, machinery, and turf sectors were also found exhibiting at the Spring Green Expo during July. Sun Parasol was proud to partner with leading Queensland greenlife supplier Harts Nursery to showcase the connection Sun Parasol has with hot Australian summers and the versatility of Sun Parasol, hence the use of a Bali hut serving up cool fruit cocktails and a wonderful sand sculpture. Traditionally, Sun Parasol is used as a climbing garden plant, however more recently, Sun Parasol is being found in large decorative pots (with trellis) on decks and verandas, producing amazing bursts of colour. Another recent application of this versatile plant is in hanging baskets, especially the Classic types. The Classic types are less inclined to climb when exposed to full sun and tend to remain as a trailing shrub, creating an ideal framework for use in hanging baskets. As part of the Colourwave collection, Sun Parasol was joined by other Colourwave products, such as Senetti, Friolina, Madeira, Summer Wave, and the very dramatic Dreamtime Jumbo Yellow and Jumbo White. The Colourwave booth was indeed a sea of Colourwave with all the plants flowering naturally. Sun Parasol® is a registered trade mark of Suntory Flowers Ltd.
